The best new beauty brands to try this season

Posted in

If there’s one lesson we all learned over the last year, it’s this–skincare is important. When the pandemic forced us to stay indoors–wrenching us away from our busy lives and social obligations–we were forced to focus on ourselves. From practicing mindfulness through meditation to indulging in self-care with a new skincare routine, we discovered the importance of putting ourselves first.

Now as the seasons change, we hope you’ve carried over this lesson into this new year. And even if we haven’t been able to keep all our pandemic resolutions, skincare is one we shouldn’t ignore. Taking care of your skin will ensure it remains healthy, vibrant and happy (yes–that’s the best one)! If you’re looking for new brands and products to try out this summer, then take a look at some of the best beauty brands we now have at The Design Collective.

Tathya

Tathya is a skincare brand based out of Sri Lanka. Believing in clean and natural beauty, the brand manufactures products that leave your skin with that natural, healthy glow! Indulge in the best of nature with Tathya.

Mineral Earth

Based out of Sri Lanka, Mineral Earth creates artisanal soaps from natural oils and botanicals. These products are made by hand without the use of harmful chemicals or parabens. Not only are they vegan, but also completely natural! Perfect for those who suffer from sensitive skin, pamper yourself with these scented soaps that soothe your body and mind.

Coffee Bean Body

Thiromi G created Coffee Bean Body in 2019, after several allergic reactions to mass-produced beauty products. She started making scrubs and face masks using ingredients like rice flour, turmeric and coffee. Voila! Her skin was the healthiest it had ever been. Her brainchild, Coffee Bean Body now creates skincare solutions using only natural ingredients that soothe the skin.

Christopher Fern

Born out of the desire to change the way men perceive skincare in Sri Lanka, Dimitry Fernando  launched Christopher Fern in 2022, after extensive research into the men’s skincare industry. He truly believes that “the desire to look and feel good has a direct impact on a man’s confidence.” The brand makes skincare and haircare products for men using high-quality natural ingredients.
